Future Education is a professional development company built exclusively for the education sector. Our credibility with client institutions depends on operating with the same standards of transparency, ethics, and accountability that we ask them to develop.
Why This Policy Exists
Future Education works with higher education institutions across Latin America, Europe, Asia, UK, and beyond. Our work requires access to institutional data, participant information, and the trust of deans, provosts, and operational leaders who are held to strict standards of governance.
That trust is not given - it is earned and maintained. The same principles of systemic thinking, data integrity, and operational responsibility we develop in our programs apply to how we run our own company.
This policy gives every person in the Future Education community - employees, facilitators, partner institutions, and collaborators - a clear, protected channel to raise concerns about conduct that conflicts with those principles. Speaking up is not disruptive. It is how institutions stay accountable.
1. Scope and Who This Applies To
This policy applies to all individuals who interact with Future Education in any capacity, including:
Current and former employees (full-time, part-time, and contract)
Facilitators, co-facilitators, and program contributors
Staff at client institutions participating in Future Education programs
Technology partners, platform providers, and vendors
Board members and institutional advisors
2. What Constitutes a Reportable Concern
A report should be made when there is a reasonable basis to suspect misconduct that affects the public interest, the integrity of Future Education, or the safety of individuals involved in its programs.

Data and Privacy
Unauthorized sharing or leakage of participant or institutional data; misuse of learning analytics or platform data; failure to meet GDPR, LGPD, or FERPA obligations.
AI and EdTech Ethics
Deployment of AI tools without disclosed methodology; use of participant-generated content for purposes not covered by program agreements; manipulation of learning data for commercial gain.
Financial Integrity
Misappropriation of program funds; falsification of participation or outcome records; undisclosed conflicts of interest in procurement or partnership decisions.
Conduct and Safety
Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of authority within program delivery; intimidation of participants or institutional contacts; threats linked to professional reporting.
Institutional Compliance
Breach of partnership agreements; misrepresentation of program outcomes or credentials to client institutions; violation of confidentiality terms.
3. Zero Tolerance for Retaliation
No person who raises a concern in good faith will face any form of detrimental treatment as a result. This protection applies regardless of whether the concern is ultimately substantiated.
Detrimental treatment includes, but is not limited to:
Dismissal, demotion, or unfavorable changes to employment terms
Exclusion from programs, projects, or professional opportunities
Threats, harassment, or intimidation - direct or indirect
Any other conduct designed to discourage or punish reporting
Any individual found to be retaliating against a whistleblower will face immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of the employment or partnership relationship. Future Education treats retaliation as a serious breach of its operating principles.
4. Confidentiality and Anonymity Options
Future Education respects the professional risk that speaking up can carry, particularly within institutional environments. You may choose how to identify yourself:
Named Report: You share your identity with investigators. This allows direct follow-up and facilitates a more thorough investigation. Your identity is kept strictly confidential and disclosed only to those directly handling the case, on a need-to-know basis.
Anonymous Report: You may remain entirely anonymous. Our digital portal strips IP addresses and metadata from submissions. Anonymous reports are fully investigated. We recommend providing as much specific detail and supporting evidence as possible, as investigators will not be able to contact you for clarification unless you use the two-way encrypted portal.
5. How to Raise a Concern

6. The Investigation Process
All reports are handled through a structured, time-bound process designed to protect the reporter and produce a clear outcome.
Acknowledgment: The reporter receives confirmation of receipt within 72 hours, provided contact details or a secure portal code were submitted. The report is assessed and routed to the appropriate investigative body.
Independent Investigation: The Independent Ethics Committee leads the investigation. Depending on the severity of the matter, external auditors or legal counsel may be engaged. The process is evidence-based and observes principles of natural justice.
Outcome and Corrective Action: If allegations are substantiated, corrective action is taken immediately. This may include disciplinary measures, policy revision, or referral to regulatory or law enforcement bodies.
Feedback to Reporter: The whistleblower is kept informed of investigation progress and final outcome, within the constraints of applicable privacy and legal obligations.
7. False or Malicious Disclosures
This policy provides strong protection for good-faith reporting, including cases where the concern is ultimately not substantiated. Honest mistakes are not penalized.
However, deliberately submitting false, fabricated, or malicious allegations is a serious disciplinary offense. Such conduct undermines the integrity of the reporting mechanism and will be treated accordingly, up to and including termination of the working relationship.
8. Policy Governance
This policy is reviewed annually by the Ethics Committee to ensure it remains current with applicable data protection regulations, educational sector standards, and Future Education's operating context. Updates may be triggered at any time by significant regulatory or operational changes.
